Photos: Adnan Firoze

With the scarcity of expendable income this Ramadan (2015), the lower-middle-class consumers are at home. Consequently, the hawkers catering to the semi-marginalized class is frustrated.

I’m sure, things will get bettwr as Eid approaches. The premonition is that it does not turn into marketing sham like many times in the past.

  1. Might be more busy after sunset. And might busier in the last ten days or so.

    • Thanks for your feedback. Really appreciate it. Also, I agree. However, even after iftar, the hawkers, considering their target customers e.g. house-helps, chauffeurs/drivers et al. have very little time to leverage the festivity. Eid Mubarak to you.
